History
Messrs YB Tan & Co. was founded on 4th July 2004 by Elvin Tan.
It first operated as a small “one-man show” basis supporting a Malaysian will-writing company, Integrated Will Services Sdn. Bhd. (“IWS“). With IWS, it provided services such as will drafting, will vetting, setting family trust, insurance trust, petition to court for grant of probate and letter of administration and general area of law on succession.
Messrs YB Tan & Co. was the main panel law firm supporting IWS. It prided itself in providing practical legal advices for its clients. It established itself as an expert in that area and was invited to assist an insurance subsidiary company in Bangkok, Thailand to structure its legal documentation for Thai law on succession.
Present
The firm has grown to its present 5-staff team (comprising 2 lawyers, 2 para-legal executives and an accounts executive).
